How to find length of Map in Go?

The built-in len() function returns the number of elements in a map.

Example

package main

import "fmt"

func main() {
    var employee = make(map[string]int)
    employee["Mark"] = 10
    employee["Sandy"] = 20

    // Empty Map
    employeeList := make(map[string]int)

    fmt.Println(len(employee))     // 2
    fmt.Println(len(employeeList)) // 0
}

Output

2
0
The len function will return zero for an uninitialized map.
